Dearest Abba,

I come before your loving presence today, with a heart that is broken and willing to receive from you. Abba, your word says in Hebrews 4 vs. 11, that we should labor daily to enter into Your rest. So today, I chose to turn away from every distraction, care, and concern and simply rest my mind in Christ.

Abba today,

Let me rest in His wisdom (Christ) when I am tempted to go my way and seek worldly counsel.

Let me rest in His righteousness when I am tempted to feel guilty or condemned or unworthy.

Let me rest in His redemptive power when I am tempted to magnify satan’s works and his lies.

Let me rest in His strength to multiple my strength and make me strong when I feel weary.

Let me rest in His peace that rules and garrisons my heart and mind and guides me in all situations.

Let me rest in His love that is my rock, my fortress and my strength.

And Abba, when my faith is weak, let me rest in the One who is the author and the finisher of my faith.

  Help me to always remember in Christ, my yoke is easy and my burden is light, and I am truly set free. I receive the grace to have a childlike heart to merely trust and rest in the finished work of Christ and His plan for me.

I love you Abba, you are always faithful in my life.
